So it has been a hectic week with fashion week but who was to tell that The Brits would top it off the way it did.
Myself and Abbie May were booked to glam 4music’s Maya Jama and BBC 1Xtra presenter Yasmin Evans.
We decided to have videographer Curt Soul come along and capture some moments that you never get in a picture, which works great for my vlog and great for Abbie’s YouTube channel.
I started off my day running to the overground hoping to get on a train that wasn’t packed but I failed on that one. After being squashed and fighting to get on and off trains with my kit and product bag, I made it to Maida Vale to meet Abbie and Curt and we went to Maya’s from there.
Maya and myself already had a whatsapp consultation and we knew exactly what look we were going for. I decided to work with three product ranges which was Oribe, Fudge Urban and Bumble and Bumble. I also decided to use hair extensions to create the fullness that was required so I really wanted to use Lauren Pope’s Hair Rehab which caters for all with all different types of extensions and I chose the Volume Luxe Clip-ins.
I started by prepping Maya’s hair with Bb’s thickening mousse and Fudge Urban salt spray, I then blow dried products into her hair and then barrel tonged her hair and set it to dry spraying each section with Oribe heat styling spray and superfine hairspray.
I then back combed and sprinkled Maya’s roots with Fudge Urban’s powder styler and clipped in the hair extensions.
After that I finished off Maya’s look by separating her hair into two, plaiting each section down and then securing the plait on the opposite side and spraying with Bb’s dry spun finish and Oribe superfine strong hairspray.
Stay tuned as I will be showcasing the products that I used to create Maya’s Brits red carpet look very soon
Peace and Love Always
